The course will give the students the capability (1) to understand the foundations of macroeconomic analyses in the short and medium run, (2) to apply these models for the examination of fiscal and monetary policy and (3) to be able to use these models in order to understand basic macroeconomic problems.

National income and product accounts, macroeconomics in the short run: Goods market, financial markets, IS-LM-Model; Macroeconomics in the medium run: Labour market, AS-AD-Model, Phillips-curve; production, unemployment and inflation in the medium run.
